B.Ed Degree
Teaching is considered one of the noblest jobs in the world. It is one of the most valued professions as it helps shape the minds of students. Like most professions, teaching, particularly for primary or secondary classes, has its degree requirement. B.Ed degree, short for Bachelor in Education, is an undergraduate course that people pursue a career in teaching.
B.Ed degree is a two-year course that the NCTE has made compulsory for all teaching aspirants. No further degree is mandatory for someone to land a teaching job in India. Candidates can pursue B.Ed through distance learning and in-class teaching.
According to Human Resource Ministry (HRD), the teaching sector generates around three lakh vacancies per year. Needless to say, the future of teaching jobs is bright.
B.Ed Eligibility
A candidate must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a B.Ed admission:
- Hold a graduate degree in any discipline.
- Secure at least 50-55% in their graduation. B.Tech graduates need a minimum of 55%.
- Candidates belonging to minority groups like SC/ST/OBC must score at least 50%.
- Must pass the entrance exam.
