Indian Statistical Institute is a government institute that trains students in statistics and related sciences. Army Institute of Technology was established in the year 1994 and set-up by Gen B.C. Joshi who was the then Chief of the Indian Army. AIT is located at Dighi Hills, Pune, Maharashtra, India. The institute is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by the AICTE, NBA and NAAC with A grade accreditation. AIT has been ranked 91 in 2019 and 109 in 2020 among Engineering institutes by NIRF. The institute offers UG degree for four streams of Engineering – Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, Mechanical and Computer Engineering. It conducts various programmes for skill development. It provides Master’s Degree in Mechanical Design. AIT has a vast campus with spacious classrooms, laboratories and hostel.
